Well tonight didn’t go as planned… I had lunch at home this afternoon around 2pm (late lunch, I know, but I was full from the oatmeal I had at 11)… I had a toasted english muffin with hummus, 1 slice of muenster cheese, and cucumbers… on the side I had some wheat pretzels with dijon mustard.. It was just enough food to keep me going until dinner, or so I thought…

We went to Bugaboo Creek Steakhouse for dinner tonight… The weather has been iffy all day… either very windy or terrential downpours… however when we walked into the restaurant, it had stopped raining and we actually saw a rainbow
We ordered our food like we normally do… Received our salads (I had a house salad with olive oil vinagrette)… they were very good…
Then all of a sudden, the lights dimmed, then they dimmed some more, until it was almost pitch black inside… Apparently the whole area had lost power due to the high winds and rain… we waited for a while debating if we should wait it out, so long story short, the manager and waitress came out and told everyone that they basically should leave because they couldn’t cook and wouldn’t know how long it would be until the power returned! We were starving, so we scrambled back to Bill’s grandparents house and ordered from the local pizza place… I ordered a chicken caeser salad with dressing on the side, which I probably used about an eighth of the little container, just by dipping my fork in the dressing then eating the salad… More salad, I know, but I thought it was the best option (once I removed half the croutons)… It looked really good and was… I ate about half of it… We also had sponge cake with cherries on top for Bill’s grandpop’s birthday, Bill and I split this piece…

Overall, once everything settled down, it was a fun and exciting night! Now I am off to relax for a bit & get some sleep due to daylight savings time! Don’t forget to change your clocks
Night!

Oh goodness, the power went out??? Yikes! At least you were able to have some of that delicious-looking spongecake ;0)
Happy Sunday!
