So today both flew by and went really slow all at the same time, weird, huh? Anyway, it was a busy day and the morning was a little rushed due to the time difference, so I have pretty icky pics of my food, so I apologize in advance! When I was eating my oatmeal I realized I forgot to take a pic and panicked… So unfortunately, I had to take the pic mid-way! It was just plain old fashioned oats with cinnamon & flax, pretty boring, I definitely missed my other usual additions… I ate this around 6:15am…
Mid-morning around 10am, I snacked on a pear which was basically on it’s last legs and super juicy… I took this pic in my car this morning while I was at the gas station, creative huh?
For lunch, I was starving around 11:30, but made myself hold out until 11:45, I almost felt like the pear made me hungrier, which I didn’t understand, since it’s a good source of fiber… Anyone else have this experience? I have heard that when you eat fruit you are supposed to pair (ha) it with nuts or cheese for more satiety, but fruit always seemed to fill me for at least a little while, until today… Thoughts on this?
I had about 1/2 cup of black beans (these were Goya brand & I ate half of what is featured below), the other half of my chicken caesar alad (about 5 croutons, 1/8 cup of cheese, 2 oz of grilled chicken) with about 1 tbsp of dressing literally drizzled on… it was a VERY filling lunch and held me over for a while…
Around 3pm, I decided to dive into my Cliff Z Bar (still searching for the brownie flavor!), pb flavor… I LOVE these things, so chewy and I just love being able to read & understand all of the ingredients! I didn’t necessarily need the snack right now but I know: 1.) I couldn’t go 5+ hours without fuel until dinner 2.) I probably need the calories since I’ll have a hard workout tonight
Dinner was very yummy, although I guess I received my fill of crab over the last two days… My mom homemade crab cakes for dinner, which are always delicious… I love crab cakes if you can’t tell, so much so that we are having them at our wedding as both an hor’derve and an entree! We had a side salad, creamed spinach (another fave), and my grandmom’s Spanish Rice (yes I am part Spanish, believe it or not!)… I ate everything except for half of the rice pictured here…
At the gym I did a pretty hard workout, which was good because I felt so full when I got there (i just wish it wasn’t SO crowded there), I LOVE the days where I do weights, I always feel so strong & accomplished, don’t you? I did about 35 minutes on treadmill doing intervals and then about 35 minutes doing weights… My handy-dandy HRM said I burned 475 calories – woo hoo
Now it’s off to relax and veg out in front of the TV (while I continue to research Starbucks!) for a little bit… I might have a frozen banana w/ peanut butter (since I didn’t have any today!)… I can’t decide if I’m hungry yet or not… If I have it, I promise I will take a pic & post it later tonight!

Some fruits do that to me, too! I’m always apprehensive to eat a pear or apple when I am hungry. I’m in the same boat there.
And frozen bananas with PB rock! Ahh, now I wish I had one waiting in the freezer for me…
