Comfort Food

May 17, 2008

Last night I wasn’t really hungry but when Bill got work he was STARVING and craving Cracker Barrel… By the time we got there, it was around 8pm, so I knew it had been about 7 hours since I had last eaten (amazing & weird all at the same time)… As you all know, I LOVE breakfast food, so I couldn’t pass up an opportunity for it and at that point, my stomach was starting to grumble a bit… I decided on the french toast and asked for it to be made on whole wheat bread (a trick I took from my mom)… it came out with fried apples on top; however, I did ask for no whipped cream or syrup!  I ate about half of what is pictured here… it was definitely comfort food, probably not the healthiest, but sometimes you need to give into those cravings :)

I LOVE having breakfast food for dinner. Not so much for breakfast, though. When I was younger I didn’t like breakfast food at all so I ate a roast beef sandwich for breakfast every morning. My mom insisted that I had protein and carbs in my breakfast, so she was totally fine with it, but a little disgusted too.

    Romina ~ Indeed it is!!!

Jenn ~ Awww, we never had any near us actually until about a year ago they opened one up…

VeggieGirl ~ :) It definitely fits the bill; however, I’m glad I only ate half because I was stuffed after that!

Hannah ~ Oh wow haha… that is funny! I love having breakfast foods all the time; however I usually can’t eat a huge breakfast in the morning (besides oatmeal, nuts, fruit) but I surely can eat it for dinner!
