Shockingly, I woke up this morning and expected to be sore but I was not… so weird! I guess I did train well, after all!
Now I know to OD on spinning next year as my training and I’ll be fine hehe…
I slept in a little bit later than normal so I had to resort to a grab n go kind of breakfast… I decided to have one of the Zone Perfect bars that I picked up yesterday at one of the rest stops along with a banana… I never had one of these bars before and was quite skeptical… it was Chocolate PB flavor… I missed my oats, so I can’t say it beat out my normal breakfast, but it was quite tasty for a bar, anyway… however still not as good as Clif bars!
As a mid-morning snack, I munched on a free sample that came to me via mail last week… MultiGrain Cheerios… As soon as I ate this, I felt hungrier… probably due to the little amount of protein in it… They were tasty though…
As a result, around 11:30am, the tummy started grumbling in FULL FORCE… So I listened to it and fed it hehe
I started out with a red delicious apple (very true to the name, might I add), then I enjoyed a stuffed wheat english muffin with pickles, hot peppers, turkey breast, and dijon mustard… and finally, for dessert, an absolutely INDULGENT jocolat chocolate Larabar… Boy, were these AMAZING!!!!!!
Ok well it’s back to the grind – happy Monday all! I’ll be back tonight w/ a snack & dinner post

Aw, so glad that you’re not feeling sore! You really must have trained well – congrats to you again!
I LOVE multi-grain cheerios but yes, unfortunately they make me hungrier AFTER eating them. So I stopped buying them, haha

Those larabars are so cute, I haven’t see them at an event yet. Your ride sounds like a lot of fun. I’m sad that I didn’t sign up for an MS 150 this year, I have a blast doing charity rides. I thought about signing up for the Lance Armstrong event in Philly this fall.

VeggieGirl ~ I know, aren’t they adorable??? I am considering contacting Larabar and asking if they sell them!!!
All Vegged Out ~ hehe, I haven’t had a red delicious in a while so I forgot how pretty AND crisp they are!
Jenn ~ Thanks! Oh ok, good, I’m glad I’m not alone with the fact that it made me hungrier! Whew
Aimee ~ That stinks you can’t do the MS150, I can’t do it this year either b/c I’ll be away… Good luck w/ the Armstrong event if you do it, I had a few friends who did that ride before!

i really wish that i could find some mini larabars. i really like them but they are more calories/not enough protein for my ideal bar. Whenever I buy them I have every intention to have only half, but never have the willpower to stop! The mini ones would be perfect. If you do contact larabar let us know what they say!
