Turn Of Events Thursday
Happy Thursday!
This week has flown by, which means we are only one day away from the weekend… I can’t believe how fast the weeks are going, I don’t want the summer to end!
I started out the day with some oats, not just any old oats though… pumpkin-banana oats… I was in the mood for a different combination and remembered that I had some pumpkin in the fridge, so it came in handy for this breakfast… I mixed in about a quarter cup of pumpkin and sliced up half of a banana prior to microwaving… I, then, topped it with the usual almond slices and flaxseed…
Mid-morning, I snacked on a medium-sized apple and about 15 almonds…
Then it was off to lunch with my dad to Panera Bread , I’m sure you all can guess what I ordered! Strawberry Poppyseed salad, Black Bean soup (oh how I missed you), and a whole grain baguette…
Mid afternoon I started to get hungry, so I ate one of these… a Kashi TLC Crunchy Roasted Almond bar… I never had any other kind except for the Pumpkin one which i LOVE, so this was a VERY close tie, flavor-wise… my intention was to only eat one of the two bars in the package, but I wound up inhaling both
No not the whole box, but I had one at my desk at work, so this is a ‘reenactment’ picture…
Dinner was made by mom and was mashed sweet potatoes, garlic bread, sauteed veggies, and a small serving of homemade chicken parm…
Then I was off to the gym for spinning, or so I thought I was… turns out that the 6:45pm class was canceled – what a major bummer! So instead I did about 30 minutes of upper body weights and then did my own “makeshift” spinning class in the empty spinning room… I didn’t have my IPOD with me so it was a struggle to pace myself and keep myself motivated… but I got a nice sweaty workout in by doing a variety of jumps, sprints, climbs, etc… I think people thought I was weird, but who cares
Anyway now I’m off to go lay in bed… I’m not feeling so upbeat now so I’m going to try to get to bed early…

I love Blue Diamond almonds – yum!!
Ahh, who cares what others think – I’m sure you didn’t look weird :0)
Mmmm garlic bread!
Good job making up your own spinning class
Yummmy! I L.O.V.E. Panera’s soup + salad combo. Unlike everyone and their grandma’s, I’m not a bread lover. I have NO idea why, but I’m never like, “OHHHH I WANT THE _____ SANDWICH” or “YUM! FRESH ROLLS!” lol. I think it’s probably because, having a salad, I can eat so much more
Hehe, loser, I know, but I just don’t love the bread. Panera’s soups though? YUM! And salads? YUM YUM YUM! Funny, I didn’t used to care for Panera, but now I heart it
(Enough Yum’s for ya, Linds? hehe)
Enjoy your rest!
mmm…the pumpkin banana oatmeal sounds great! and the black bean soup looks soooo good. i’m gonna have to get to panera bread to have some…i think there’s one near me somewhere…
and great job making up your own spinning workout and other stuff…i definitely would have left if the class was canceled! LOL.
that lunch looks divine! i’m sure anyone who saw you were wishing they could be as virtuous
Oh your salad looks deeeelicious! (I had to comment just to tell you that
)
Everyone of those meals looks delicious! Especially the chicken parm!
I don’t know what I would do without Kashi products to snack on.
I have done a make shift spin class before too, and I know people think I’m weird because my husband is with me and I act like a real instructor, I call out the moves to him (i.e. okay now 4 count jumps). Luckily our spin room has a sound system so we at least turn on the radio for some tunes.
Good job on the makeshift class. I really want mashed potatoes.
Oh how I miss Panera as well. It has been far too long since I’ve been there. I think another trip is in order!
Happy Friday!
