Stressin’
At around 4:45 I was getting a little hungry but knew we’d be eating dinner around 7 so I knew of the perfect snack to keep me slightly full but not TOO full: mixed nuts. Here’s my portion:
It was a rainy morning here then it cleared up and just about as we were heading out, it started POURING out. Go figure! DInner was spent w/ my parents, brother, and grandparents in honor of Bill’s birthday. It was a great time and many many laughs were exchanged! I started out our dinner at Macaroni Grill with a house salad with italian dressing on the side. I love their house salads (especially the black olives) – everything tastes so fresh.
For my entree, I ordered the Skinny Chicken ~ one of my favorites. However, when they brought out our food, they brought out a vodka penne dish instead. The waitress seemed frazzled and upset and was going to get my another but I decided oh what the heck, I like vodka sauce, so I’ll just stick with it. It was realllllly good too! I ate about half of what is here and brought the rest home.
Dessert was of course a must since it was Bill’s last birthday celebration. My grandmom made a carrot cake and brought it to the restaurant so we all had a slice of her absolutely delicious and “famous” (in our family) cake. This is Bill’s favorite cake out of the ones that my grandmom makes.
I haven’t been feeling so hot today – I think it’s stress due to our impeding house hunt/buy/sell, etc. We have an event at our church tomorrow where we will be gone from 10am-4pm so I better get some sleep now so I’m not cranky! Hope the rest of your weekend is great

Wow Vodka sauce? On penne? There is an Italian restaurant at practically every corner in this city but I have never seen this!
