Where Did My Weekend Go?

November 16, 2008

Where oh where did my weekend go?  I feel like it was just Friday and then all of a sudden it’s Sunday – argh!  Oh well, that just means we are one step closer to another weekend AND Thanksgiving is right around the corner.

Today was another busy day.  We started out early with a nice relaxing breakfast.  I had a serving of oats and topped it with all sorts of delicious toppings:  Grape Nuts, flax, almonds, Barney butter, and the very last of my pom seeds!

After breakfast, we headed off to church from 10-4.  I think it was our longest time ever at church in our lifetime!  We recently joined a new church so they had a 4 hour overview “class” which was interesting and we got the opportunity to meet a lot of new people like us also.  They served pizza and snacks at the session:  I had a slice of plain pizza and some hard sourdough pretzels (sorry for no picture).  It did nothing to fill me so when we got home we had an early dinner!  I just re-heated up our combined leftovers from Friday and Saturday nights.  I had my leftover grilled chicken parm with some of my vodka penne (gave the rest to Bill).  We also had a side salad AND a small glass of white wine to de-stress since we had a crazy weekend.

Now I’m off to get into my PJs and relax and watch Desperate Housewives :)   I think a small slice of carrot cake may be calling my name, but I’m going to wait a little bit to eat it because I’m still kind of full!  I want to try to get into work earlier than normal tomorrow, so hopefully I’ll be able to stay up and make it through the whole show hehe… Have a great night!

It seems like all of us in blogland are talking about the way the weekend slipped out from under us. I think Sunday nights can be worse than Monday mornings, personally…

Enjoy the rest of your night, sounds relaxing :)
