In Love With A Kitchen

April 2, 2009

Hi Guys… thought I’d give you a peak into our kitchen…

I went from this kitchen in our old condo….

To this… can you say Cabinet Heaven?

We have some minor work to do:  painting & installing an oven above the microwave but other than that I love it!

Dinner was simple, but definitely not plain…

Baked chicken using my convection oven speed bake feature ~ love it!  Then I made quinoa for the first time and fell in love… love the texture & nutritional stats :)   I also chopped a fresh green pepper, zucchini, onion, fresh garlic and sauteed it with 1 T EVOO, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.  Seriously, I could have eaten 10 plates of those veggies!

    ambitious. even for you lassie!

  16. April 3, 2009 12:57 am

Yum quinoa is amazing. I think of it as a healthier cous cous.

WOW that is a kitchen! Not gonna lie, I’m a little jealous…but then again I’m jealous of most homeowners because that’s a big dream (goal?) of mine. Can’t wait to hear more about renovations, new appliances/furniture, etc :-)

I am so jealous of your new kitchen!!!!!!!!!!!! I live in an apartment, and my kitchen is half the size of the one in your old place, and I have to share it with my roommate!!!! It’s sad because I LOVE my apartment, but the kitchen is the ONLY thing about the place that I hate!!!! :-(

I can’t wait to see the rest of your new digs!!!! Where in PA did you move? I wasn’t even sure where you lived before!

Love the kitchen! Is that granite or quartz? I want to redo our counters this summer.

How did you make the quinoa – with water only? Did it have much flavor on its own?

  44. April 4, 2009 11:46 pm

Wow! Your new kitchen is gorgeous!!!!

    I love quinoa. :D

  45. April 5, 2009 1:08 am

Wow, talk about a makeover! All that cabinet space is awesome.
I recently tried quinoa for the first time and liked it, too. It kind of reminded me of couscous…but much healthier!

  48. April 5, 2009 11:50 am

What a gorgeous kitchen!! I am totally jealous!! Just imagine all the wonderful creations you will cook in that room ;)

  49. April 5, 2009 2:32 pm

Allison ~ My countertops are granite :) Yeah I just used water to make the quinoa, I liked it plain but my hubby had to add some garlic powder to it because it really doesn’t have much flavor on its own :)

  50. April 7, 2009 8:18 pm

Ah congrats on the new house lindsay!!! That is so exciting and your kitchen is gorgeous!!!
