So Touching Yet So Sad
I spent early afternoon watching the Harry Kalas memorial on tv with Bill while I bawled my eyes out! It’s the craziest thing for me because I didn’t know him personally, but I have been really upset and can’t stop tearing up when I watch the news or read memorial emails from the Phillies. I guess it’s because we all grew up listening to him, he was the voice of the Phillies, so it’s like we knew him… The memorial was absolutely well done, it was really touching, I can’t describe it. In my opinion, Kane Kalas and Mike Schmidt’s speeches were the most touching and I thought it was really special that they passed the casket through all of the Phillies players, coaches, and family.
All I can say is that it will be unbelievably odd and sad to go to the game on Tuesday without “the voice“…
On a lighter note, my lunch consisted of a green salad…

Then I toasted up a ww English Muffin and smeared it with some natural peanut butter and a melted square of Lindt 85% dark chocolate ~ totally decadent!

Ok, back to work, I gotta figure out what to tackle next

enjoy the rest of your Saturday!!!
i think the new blogging schedule will be awesome
I have part of a Lidnt 85% bar left… and that looks very tempting! I never thought of using it as a spread! As a baker, I usually use it in my cakes and ganache, but enjoying it straight-up on some Ezekiel bread sounds pretty good right now!
The English muffin combo looks out of this world delicious
that muffin looks fantastic
Enjoy your day!!! Love the delicious eats!
Sounds like a beautiful memorial. It’s always tough to lose someone, even if you didn’t know them personally. My heart goes out to you
MMmmm. That EM looks so good! Gotta love that natural pb!
Ohhh…I wish I was eating that English muffin snack now!
Nice idea with the chocolate! Lindt is my favorite kind.
