Mocha Maniac
While I was away, I was lucky enough to receive a new Odwalla bar in the mail to review on the blog!
I was really interested in trying out Odwalla Mocha-walla bar because I have never had a chocolate-flavored Odwalla bar, plus I was also excited to try it out since it was a brand new exclusive foodie product!
I have to admit I prolonged trying this bar simply because I didn’t want to be let down and I really wanted to be in the mood for it, so I saved it until this afternoon to have as an afternoon snack before taking a bodyworks (strength training) class. Upon opening it up, I was greeted with the pure smell of coffee. I didn’t really smell any chocolate so that kind of bummed me out, but I did enjoy the coffee smell because we all know how I love my coffee 
My first bite was a blast of flavors – I expected coffee in chewy form, but my bite was actually a nice mix of chewy chocolate chunks with a hint of espresso. The texture of the bar was right inline with all of the other Odwalla bars, but I must say that this was my favorite flavor simply because I can’t resist chocolate & coffee in a nutritionally sound bar!
Have any of you tried this bar? What did you think? Have you seen them in stores yet? If so, let me know because I’m now on the hunt for more of them…

I’ve never seen that one! But I LOOOOOVE the banana nut bar! It tastes exactly like banana bread!
I’ve never tried an Odwalla bar, but I keep hearing such good things. I should pick one up.

I’ve seen those bars but haven’t tried them. They sound really good.
What is the coffee smell you like best? I don’t drink coffee so I’m not familiar with the taste. I hate the smell of brewed coffee. But…I absolutely love the smell of coffee beans. I walk through the coffee bean aisle at the grocery store breathing in that wonderful roasted smell.

I’ve tried the bar thanks to the kind folks at Odwalla, and I really liked it too–the only drawback: it gave me coffee breath!
I love odwalla bars (super protein and the green one=delic!!) but I CAN NOT find this one!!!!

I have been wanting to try this flavor so bad but I haven’t seen it anywhere yet! (only online). Hopefully it will come out in stores soon! Odwalla is one of my favorites… so chewy, healthy, and delicious.

I had one 2 weeks ago, and was not impressed. I love Odwalla Bars, and was also very excited to try this one because of my love for coffee and chocolate, but this was dry,chalky, and way to strong in the coffee department (even for me) A pretty big let down in my book, but I am glad to see you liked it. Maybe I’ll give it another try some other day. Who knows!
